Artist: Judy Blue Anderson
Medium: Acrylic
Artist Statement:
My abstract works on based on my relationship with the sea. Growing up surrounded by the great lakes and many years of scuba diving shipwrecks inspired my love of water. It is ever changing – you can’t catch a wave. Floating, diving, swimming or boating puts my mind in a different place. For me it all has a calming influence and finds me at ease. I use a limited palette to create a cohesive piece that may be read many ways. I don’t feel the viewer needs to interpret the work as I do. It is fascinating to hear what others see.
