Mind, Body, Land
…and into states of being
We are the cartographers in this mysterious adventure we call the human condition. Our experiences are informed by the passage of time and the transformative influence of everything that surrounds us. Our thoughts, dreams, hopes and fears bring about touchstones, connections and recollections. These gatherings happen from day to day, and the decisions made about how to sort them are, I believe, what creates our story…from “then” to “now” and from “now ” to “forever”.
Artist Biography:
Beverley Hawksley is a Canadian contemporary multi-media artist based in Muskoka, Ontario, whose practice spans painting, 2D mixed media, sculpture, installation, poetry, and performance. A self-taught artist, she has been professionally active for over 20yrs, exhibiting in solo and group gallery shows and as a long time participant in the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition. Her work has been commissioned for public art projects, book illustrations and performance pieces, and is included in corporate and private collections across Canada, the United States, and Europe. With a focus on creative process, Beverley has also facilitated art-making workshops for schools. groups and private clients, emphasizing exploration, collaboration, and personal expression.
