Artist Biography

Artist Paul Healey was born in Toronto in 1964. A serious music student for 10 years, he left that pursuit at age 24 to study fine art at Georgian College of Art and Design. There he studied painting, sculpture and print-making, three disciplines he still practices today. Healey finished his education at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. In 1992 he moved to New Brunswick where he began his professional career as an artist and has been exhibiting in galleries across Canada ever since. Healey’s work can be found in private and corporate collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. His literary efforts have been published in The Toronto Quarterly and he was a finalist in the CBC Literary Awards and first-place winner in the Atlantic Writers Competition.
